Yes. Unfiltered air has dust and dirt in it and it will cause scratches/gouging in the cylinder walls. This will lead to faster ring wear, blow by and loss of power if done for a long period of time.

i mean it shouldnt hurt it if you drive from your house to the auto store to get a filter...


and you can always put a sock over it for the time being...make sure you liek secure the sock to something so it dosent get sucked into the throttle body?


but i wouldnt drive liek so, for more than couple days..


specially on a rainy day, or on a dirt road..use comon sense
