turboing my d15b8
i have a d15b8 that i'm going to rebuild when i get back from deployment. and i have plans of turboing it. i've looked all over online for answers to my specific questions but i'm not quite getting clear clarification. so here it goes. I want get the block cleaned up a bit so i figured a machine shop would be a good idea. since its going to be there should i just go ahead and get it sleeved or bored out for the turbo? also should i get headwork done? my goal for horse power is 200-250 range. basically just need to know what is recommended to keep this engine a reliable turbo charged daily.

You really need to Google "turbo in a d15b8" and check the other boards you find in that. If it's the 70HP engine (which Im thinking), then youre going to dump A LOT of money trying to reach that 200~250 point when you could just get a better motor. But the Honda Civic boards vary quite a bit on this answer, so you need to see what those guys started with and spent to get where they are. Boring and sleeving an engine is usually not done unless youre trying to reach some serious output, as stock internals can often handle 100~120HP more than the factory settings, WITH proper maintenance and upgrades. And youre already looking at $1.5K~$2K for a reliable turbo setup and an engine to handle it properly.
