Turbo Missing link Q's?
Ok I just my Missing link hook up and still engine check light pops up, unhook my battery, reconnect it, it was ok for awhile and still light comes on?? Help please??
you didnt double gasket it did you? that would allow boost to read to your ecu......it will only fit on one way so you couldnt have put it on upside down, was the missing link brand new?. if it wasnt it might be dirty,....sometimes mine will get dirty and read boost and itll throw the code and the car will go into open loop and run rich as hell, ill take it off, clean it with brake cleaner and lots of grime will come out and then it will be fine, if your using an afc if you have too much fuel taken out that could also be it, too much correction will throw a code also....also, you could just straight up have a bad map sensor........also did you read the code, what is it?.......

on the passenger side kick panel there are 2 connectors that go into a rubber holder, they are green, one is 3 plug and the other is a 2 plug, take a piece of wire and loop it into the 2 plug connector so one side of the wire goes into either hole of the 2 plug connector, dont worry about the 3 plug, turn your ignition on and the check engine lite will blink, its kind of hard to explain how to read the codes so im not even gonna try cause its hard enought just to read them and think to yourself let alone typing it down cause theres long pauses in between and short pauses and rapid code flashes, so eh ehh.........get someone who knows how to read codes, look it up online or in a manual and you should be able to figure it out from what the source of the code is........did you check your o2 sensor, on my car i would get a code for a bad o2 sensor, but the car wouldnt go into open loop, it would come on after about 10 minutes of driving, i would shut the car off and it wouldnt do it again all day, it was faulty o2 sensor , ecu code, if i remember right it was a code 43, if thats what your throwing then most likely its just your 02 has gone bad, i replaced mine and everything is fine.........but good luck dude.....

thats prolly the simplest way to put it, but you also have to remember that there can be more than 1 code so it can get confusing if you see more than 1 code while your reading it even though there will be a long pause in between to let you know its a different set, but it can get confusing, to me anyways.....its just way too many blinking little engine blocks to think about, haha......
