Default for the turbo guys: question...

im at the crossroads right now, got a good chunk of the parts for my turbo build, and im trying to select which turbo i should go with... im thinking of going with a t3/t4 hybrid... (for a d16z6)... id like some more input, or maybe even a helpful suggestion because at this point maybe there is a better option for my car..

id go with a t3/t04b or a t3, anything bigger I think would be a waste of $$, on a d16.

I might be wrong though

Let me just say I really can't stand threads like this when you don't provide enough information to begin with and it makes it hard for people to accurately recommend a turbo without trying to ilicit your goals from you first.
So, answer these questions:

1) What is your HP goal?
2) What kind of spool up/powerband are you looking for?
3) What kind of pressure do you want to run?
4) What kind of parts do you already have? More importantly, what kind of flange does your manifold have?

5) How much money do you have to spend?

im sorry, i figured a simple question deserved a simple answer:

1)200ish
2)spool maybe 2.5-3k
3)8-12 psi
4) i have walsbro fuel pump, DSM 450cc injetors, y8 intake mani, im almost to the point where i have enough for pistons and rods, i found that LS rods were a reliably cheap rod choice, and im going with JE pistons... ive also got cai, headers, blah blah the simple bolt on crap.
5) im not gonna spend a fortune, but im not gonne buy cheap shit either... for the turbo, anything equal to or lesser then 200

i dont wanna break any world records, i just wanna run mid to low 13's if possible..

I didn't see a manifold listed so I'll go ahead and cover both mitsubishi and garret turbos.

Garret: a t3/t4 will spool later than you want it to, and also be overkill in the hp department for your goals.
stick to straight t3 and keep the turbine housing ar small for faster spool up.

mitsubishi: I'm not too familiar with the smaller mitsubishi turbos but I assume one of the larger td04 turbos will meet your hp and spool up goals.

other: the stock 2g dsm turbo (t25) will meet both your power and spool up goals.

t25 wouldn't give the top end he's looking for. i would recommend a t3 with a .60/.63 a/r...

that or a small/big 16g

he doesnt have his mani or adapter plate yet, so exhaust flange pattern doesnt matter...
