Default TRD Springs for tC

I am lowering my girlfriends TC and i have heard TRD springs are the way to go because she does not want too much of a drop. Every link i find is .5 in the front and 1.25 in the rear which does not make much sense to me. I found this link and it says 1.25 all over and just wanted to ask you guys if you think its legit

http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...&parts_id=1339

Thanks for the input

I'm seeing 1 to 1.5 on most sites. It really doesn't matter though, because it's very rare to get exactly the rated drop anyway. TRD makes decent stuff usually, so I doubt they'd put out springs with strange lowering specs that made the car drag tail.

FYI, Swift makes springs for that car also (I just looked), and the rated drop is about the same. The price is almost double the TRD springs though, so the choice would be whether you want quality springs or just want to lower the car. I'm a big Swift fan, so I'm biased.

I edited the thread title by the way. "HELP" isn't a proper title for a Tech Talk thread. Everyone wants help, that's why it's Tech Talk.

I have the TRD spings on my tC. They dont drop it too much, and they dont ride uncomfortably either. If you dont want a big drop they are a good spring to go with. If you want good Scion info try www.Scionlife.com or http://clubsciontc.com thats all the info youve ever wanted to know about any Scion.

Its noticeable, but not OMG low. Even when I had my lip kit on, it still looked high. But it saved me from busting up my carbon fiber.

the only thing with the TRD's is the drop is dead even and the rear springs are pretty soft for the weight of the car. Carllllllllllllllllllllllllll (feels weird to call you that) will tell you, put anything/anyone in the back seat or hatch and it will sag. I have TEIN H-techs on mine, probably the best springs for the money. the front maybe a little aggressive ( about 2.25") but the ride is nice. The good thing is, the rear is only about 1.5" so you have a nice rake when not loaded and it sits even when loaded.

Heres CARLLLLLLLLLS on TRD's( thas right, i got a pics )

^ look at the back fender gap w/ the TRD's and you'll see what I mean, thats just with her (average build), her man (pretty big dude, but sexy), and a bag of chik-fil-a. HELLASUNK!

and here are a few of mine on H-techs with stockies and 18"s (225/40)

^the last one is after about 15,000 miles on the springs, with roughly 50 lbs of tools/etc. in the trunk.

the H-techs set me back about $208 with free shipping and come with their own million mile warranty.
If you plan on adding a front lip OTHER then the factory one though, you may want to go with the TRD's. i drag mine on everything, but i also could careless. Im sure with more carefull driving It would never drag but you are talking about doing this to a females car :P

EDIT; the other good thing about the TRD's is your factory struts are covered under warranty.
i drive mine pretty hard and the struts have 30,000 miles on them, 25,000 of those were after the springs were installed. Even with my driving, they still havn't blown. BTW: If you need any help with the install feel free to Pm me and i can throw the details at you.
