trans help...

I have a 93 eg coupe auto that trans went out but I have a 97 auto trans. Didn't knOw if it would work because of different years one obd1 the other obd2.. wanted to know if if would work before I swapped them....

I don't think that will work without swapping some other things as well. I'm no auto trans expert but I believe the OBD2 ECU controls the trans itself, while the OBD1 ECU has a separate TCM? I might be thinking of the B-series stuff though (I've never had an urge to learn about D-series), and there are control differences between the D-series trans than the B-series trans so I could be steering you wrong. I'd start doing some research because I don't think this is a straightforward thing to do. You might be better off getting another OBD1 trans and using that.
