tranny problems
I've got a 94 accord ex man tranny (that i'm fed up with) and a few weeks ago i lost my reverse gear.
Story is i used my reverse gear thirty minutes before getting back in and trying to put it in reverse when it woudn't even go INTO the reverse spot... and at the same time realized my tranny leaked oil... UGH. so my question is... does anybody know what could have caused this? i know it could be a syncro ... or even a damaged gear ...but i have a feeling it's something wrong with linkage at the transmission??

turn the car off and put it in reverse and then start the car and see if it moves...

Re: tranny problems
yes it's a 5 spd. and it won't even go into the reverse position. ill push the clutch in and try as hard as i can to yank it in and it just won't go.

Re: tranny problems
that makes sense. but wouldn't that affect the drive gears too though?? someone said something about a flywheel...but that doesn't make any sense to me. and so many mechanics have blown me off about it.

Re: tranny problems
a flywheel is what the clutch and shit is attached to and has the ring gear to start the car...nothing that could affect reverse...
id be glad to work on it and fix it....im in hampton...if you want drive it over and drop it off and i will figure it out.
