86 what? GT, GT-S? or ST? there's a Toyota Celica Messageboard sometime. ask for a guy named "Mascot" he's really knowledgeable as is a guy named "Quyen". otherwise, it'd help to know what you plan to do with it.

there's nothing for the 2SE. it was originally a Camry engine. really designed for fuel economy than anything. the 86 would be a MkV, so that would put it past the 22R and 5M realm. a swap would net the best results. you just missed a full 3SGE @ u wrench it. the head and block are still there, just minus the camshafts. it would be a good donor for a project swap. the wiring and ecu is still there to the best of my knowledge.

A little off topic but our shop just picked up a bunch of motors from R tech (they are out of business now) and we got them fo a great deal and there was a toyota block in there, we know it is a turbo motor, and we think it is from a 88 celica 4wd turbo can anyone give me any info on this motor at all?

3SGT-E 2.0 twin cam. you'll need a trans (and axles and hub carriers) from an 87-88 GT-S FWD Celica. you'll need wiring, ecu, afm, (or stand alone) and it'll torque steer like a bitch.

I hear that 3SGT-E motor is a fuckin beast... so is the price of all the hard to find shit to swap it into FWD.

i may have a trans i could sell you if you attempt the swap.

as for price, it not only costs money, it'll cost time to do it properly. it'll test you at times. although i've never gone backwards with this swap, i've done it into a 90 Celica.
