what engine would you swap into my 94 tercel?

Thinking about a celica gt-s. Any suggestions?

3s-gte (not sure if it will fit)
1zz-fe, 2zz-ge

3s-gte is the way to go....motor can handle some serious numbers. My friend in miami did a swap into his celica.

I agree with you here, 3s-gte is the way to go, the question is... will it fit? Will the axles be able to handle it? Transmission?

Any swap = lots of money. You'll have to find stronger axles, better mounts, wiring devices/digrams, better brakes. Engine/transmission. Install. I'm not even menitioning half of it.

geeez, i swear...a 3SGT-E in a Tercel? any idea how much of a fuggin' shoehorn that would be? not to mention the absolute dog it would be to drive? since when is a Tercel= Celica.

Crazy TechGeek, that's what I'm saying. It would cost a assload just to make the thing capable of handling that kind of power.

I think a decent swap, if it could be done would be a decently built 1zz-fe .. or something from the 4ag series. Your the geek, what would you recommend?

the best swap for the tercel rite now is the 4EFTE.....it is the easiest to do and the cheapest to do because you wont need to modify any mounts to drop into the engine bay
