Torque Convert Install: Z/28
Friend of mine has a 95Z/28 with few mods done.
He's got a torque converter he wants dropped in. He was quoted 350
good/bad I dunno? Any recommendations for any shops/prices?

Let me know how it works out for him. I may want to do the same thing down the line. I have not heard good things about Level 10. Never heard of Vigilante, I'll have to look them up.

skywalker- DO IT! i'm not sure about imports, but stalls make a WORLD of difference on domestics. i'd think your car would really fucking wake up with the right stall.
it's really a piece of cake to drop a rwd transmission, and it's NOTHING to replace the converter once the tranny's out. if my bosses weren't dicks about side work i'd do it, but once you're used to working with a lift and air tools you really don't want to touch anything without them.
350 for install is way too much though... i guess it's right for the job because you do have to pay for r&r of the transmission, but i'd tell him to try to find someone who would do it on the side for like 100 or 150. i'll even keep a look out... a guy i work with likes doing shit like that, and he does all the transmission work for holeshot so you'll know it'll be done right.

No shit! 3 full nights of non-stop work and lots of manpower to get that bitch out in my garage!!! I don't know shit about stalls; I'd have to research before I decided on that. I was just wondering who made it, since I've only seen one company make them for imports and heard that their products were shit!!!
