Default Tires...

Okay, so I have toyo proxies (205 40 R16). They grip moderately well, but one of my front tires has a blister (A huge blister) on the inside sidewall.

What does everyone suggest I should try?

This is going to be for auto-x and street use.

I've been looking at Nitto-gens.

What's out there?

I'm looking for god wear, and sticky.

Azenis...not great mileage if mainly street use.

BFGoodrich KDW's? I had them and liked them, seemed the treadwear would last for quite a while.

Falken Azenis RT615 or BFGoodrich KDW's. I'd choose the KDW's if it was my only car, and Azenis if you dont really drive in the rain much. KDW's will last longer and do better in the wet, but they dont grip as well as Azenis. Azenis grip like crazy, but dont last as long as KDW's and i've heard horror stories about them in the wet (although I've had zero problems for the most part with 255/40/18's on my car).

Falken Ziex ZE912s will stick better than what you have now, they'll last you forever and they cost next to nothing.

Well I've heard they are sticky as hell, and aren't too expensive.

Looks Like I'm going to be ordering some Falken Ziex ZE912's

Also I would suggest getting more "meat". I dont ever run 40 series on my 16's, especially with those Ziex 912's.... they didnt last me long at all. Get 45 series.....

How many miles did you put on it? My front BFG's lasted me 25k miles and I could have driven them at least another few thousand miles if I wanted to, the rears still looked brand new at 27k miles when I sold it.
