Default tire/rim question

just got some new rota slips from my friend. they have a little bit of camber wear, not much at all. i bought some new lug nuts that fit a little better too. anyways my steering wheel shakes really bad when i drive, and gets worse as i go up in speed. i think its one of three things. either the camber wear is making it shake. or they need to be balanced, but they have weights on them, so im gonna do it again. or a rim might be bent. anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

im having the same problem, you might have a bubble in the tire...i think unbalanced tires start to shake at like 40mph....last time my car started to shake like you described, it blew at 60mph on me due to bubbles in them

im going to get them spin balanced friday. hopefully that will work. i also checked the pressure in a tire that looked low and it was running only 20 pounds. i talked to the guy who sold me the rims and he said that the had some camber when he had them on his old car, they were tilted in at the top.

are the wheels hub-centric? if not, there's one problem. otherwise, re-balance the wheels. use a dial indicator while the wheel is on the machine and check for run-out.

just had the tires balanced, feels a lot better but very loud and its still kinda shitty. i think its the camber wear on the tires, im gonna let them wear down some and if that dont fix it, then i dont know.

well, i'd personally like to see the camber wear that you're talking about. if you're anywhere near the wearbars on the inside, then, you may have found your culprit. the tires are directional, right? maybe an interesting test would be to try to manually rotate the tires inside-out and try to wear the tires that way. then again, the tires may be that far gone.
