timing question

Default timing question

how would you do the timing belt/ timing when swapping heads? also what timing belt and head gasket do i use for a y8 head on a a6 block? where can i buy the head gasket and timing belt??? thanks for the help

I would believe the cam will be set at 12:00 don't quote me no.1 piston be set at TDC, be smart and buy a helms manual for 70 some dollars. Timing belt that you should buy is the the 1993-1995 civic ex belt. Go and call any honda dealership.

ok you set the timing just like you would a normal engine. get a y8 head gasket and timing belt. dont forget a new intake gasket as well. or.......you can just pay me to put it on for you and not worry about it

y8 timing belt, maybe. Definitely ask for the y8 head gasket they are cheaper on the moment and better. You have obd0, right? You do have a p28 ecu and wiring harness to do this correctly?
