Default ticking in head...

I have a 95 b18 in my 93 integra. There is a ticking in the head, so I did a valve adjustment and it got quieter but didn't go away. I turned the car off and a bit later I started it bak up and no ticking.
but when I start it cold, it ticks really bad at first, then calms down. and there is barely a tick on warm start...
could I have bent valves??
or bad timing??
some one help me...hah
thanks in advance!!!

Sounds like your lifters to me. Do you put Lucas in your oil? Usually if you have problems with your lifters, they'll click until the Lucas mixes in nice and warm with the rest of your oil, which makes it thick enough to deaden the sound. What might help though to really identify it is if you make a vid and post it on here.

I usually use 3/4ths of the bottle of the Lucas Heavy Duty for my lifter click. You can just pour it in there too.

basicly the piston slaps the cylinder wall because there is a gap between the 2 and when the engine warms up the heat makes the cylinder wall/piston expand or something, closing the gap and the noise goes away somewhat...my motor did it and i always thought it was piston slap.. thats the only reason why i said that
