I swear I'm going to get a sticky for all these types of threads.

GET FUCKING TUNED BY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO DO IT.

And why do you have 650cc injectors on a NA setup?
And that big ass bore and stock cams? Come on dude.
What header?

Woah Woah. Are you dialin' cams in without a degree wheel? Put them back to 0-0 and leave it alone.

Weird, I guess my reply from earlier didn't get added.

You could get away with 450cc injectors on a N/A LS-VTEC, that's enough injector flow for right around 300HP, and there's no way you're making 300HP with that thing. You need to get tuned though, you're not going to get very far just going off of guesswork when it comes to tuning. Just adding an S300 to an ECU has nothing to do with tuning until you actually get tuned. With those HUGE injectors, the fuel maps need to be rescaled in the Hondata software so the engine will actually run properly, which is most likely the problem. And for an N/A engine, there is no reason to raise the fuel pressure up, or use an aftermarket fuel pump. If I remember, the stock 99-00 SI pumps are good for over 300 HP at 35 PSI, and you've got enough aftermarket fuel system parts to support over 400HP with probably 35-40PSI fuel pressure.

GO get tuned, there is no reason that your setup cannot run very well with the parts you have in the hands of a qualified tuner..

By the way, how did you end up with 13.5:1 compression with an 060 head gasket???

But that would be a horrible reason to use a head gasket that thick, unless the internals are horribly mismatched and need clearance or less compression..

So you don't, in fact, have 13.5:1 compression, which is what we thought.

You should have no problems getting this running then, and no need to ask questions like you did. I don't think you're the gold mine of tuning knowledge that you claim to be. That's not a bad thing, and it's ok to admit when you need help. Many people on here tune your type of setup fairly regularly, and don't have any problems, which is why we're puzzled.

You're still within pump gas range at 11.946:1. It's all in the tuning. If you aren't getting detonation/pre-ignition problems, you're still fine. That doesn't sound like the problems you're having. You should get someone to look a that leaning out issue though.

Cam to crank distance has nothing to do with it, all that matters is the deviation from the stock spacing. You could make a block with a 30" deck height and it would run with the same cam timing as your engine. You only need to adjust if you change the headgasket thickness an appreciable amount from stock. It's just simple geometry based on the fixed angle tooth spacing.
