Default Tein question-wheel hop

ok, I just lowered my 91 CRX si with a set of Tein SS Dampners, and I had this exact set on my other rex, and had the same problem. Wheel hop. This one isn't so bad though. I'm running my stock set of 14's but its just a little too bouncy for me. I don't really have that problem with the tires peeling out when I let off the clutch, but maybe somebody else has a Tein and they can help out.

are you saying that when you launch the car you get wheel hop?
or that your ride is bouncy?

no, not so much launching, this is just normal driving, like around the block- lauching...I have no idea what that would be like. But it hops when I shift, or when I recover from a turn or as I'm accelerating or braking....it just bounces a lot. could be that its not the damn wheel hop at all just the springs are really bouncy...

they are adjustable...I have them on about medium 7 of 16. Do tech people suggest that I maybe turn it down to 4 or 5?

if it's that bouncy, adjust them to your liking, it can't hurt....

how are your motor mounts? are you using the stock mounts? check to see if they are rotted out. if so, that could be your culprit.

yes definitely. let me guess, your last car w/ teins had more miles on it too, or was a year or two older? which would be why it hopped more....i would check your mounts first. shit....wouldnt hurt to get new ones. my sol only has 105k on it and a couple of my mounts are damn near shot already...

If wheel hop is your problem, Z10 makes a traction bar for CRX's.

But it doesn't sound like your problem is wheel hop.
