tail lights stay on!!!!
my friend has a Honda Accord and his tail lights wont turn off!! he turned everything in the car off and the lights still stayed on, even when he took the key out!!!! And its only the tail lights, not the head lights!!! The only to get the lights to turn off is to take the battery out!!!!
Does anyone know what might be wrong and how to fix it???

Re: tail lights stay on!!!!
there is a brake light switch up by the brake pedal. look on the brake pedal there is supposed to be a rubber stop in a hole on the brake pedal by the brake light switch which pushes in the little thing that comes out of the brake light switch when the pedal is depressed the stop pushes the thing back inside the brake light switch. see you press the pedal the little thing in the brake light swtich comes out and thats what makes your brake lights work. that little stop probably is missing, in which then causes nothing to press in the brake light switch when the pedal is depressed therefore your lights are staying on. hope this helps you fix the prob

take one of the black clips out of ur splash shield out and put it through the hole where the bump stop was at for the brake light switch. i dont suggest using pennies and gluing them together the bump stop needs to be soft to absorb some of the impact of the return spring on the brake pedal. using metal as a bump stop will eventually make u have to replace the brake light switch due to the sudden impact of metal against metal impact. or take the easy way and spend 2 bucks and get a oem bumpstop =)
