I have a 99 civic dx and put in a d16a (JDM SOHC). The sohc is obd1. We got everything in except for a few plugs from the wiring harness and the car idles ok but when you give it gas it just breaks up. If you tap the gas to get to higher rpms its fine but when you mash it it struggles. I need help fast so any help will be great.

 

my jdm swap did that and it tok me like 3 months to figure out that it was the injectors. Might try swapping them out for different ones. I know like b and d series injectors are the same i got d series in a gsr. Hope that helps. Also chech the GROUNDS. It will make a big difference if there loose or corroded.

 

Yeah me and 99gsrcivic had a bunch of bullshit like that. but if the injectors dont help, try your plugs
