Do a search on the forums at www.v6power.net - that will get you all the info you need.
Assuming it is the Eaton that came with the cougar, the short answer is: yes you can make it work, but no I personally wouldnt bother.

it would work but the amount of parts you'd have to piece together, it would be easier and probally cheaper to buy the entire motor out of the cougar ( i assume its the same set-up that was in the supercoupe t-birds)
umm im not sure if the motors are made from the same company, if they are then u should be able to hook it up, its jus making sure u have enough room and clearance for everything else..........

the cougar has a ford motor in it
that was the supercoupe setup wasn't it...a supercharged 3.8l
not sure if it would work, and if you find out, im kind of curious about the same 3.8l being in the ford taurus...is it? heh whatever.

nope manifolds and head were different from the RWD engines to the FWD taurus motor. i know of somone who had an S/C'd 3.8 taurus. Still slower than a SHO.
you could probably make it work but i doubt it'd be worth it. i know of a few S/Ced v6 stangs but most are running centifugal units like vortechs or paxton novi's.

You could use the Eaton M90 off the old tbird, but that requires changing the heads and other painful changes, it was a direct bolt-on for the 94-98 v6's. 00+ came with split-port heads, they work best with what Doc said the vortech and paxton blower much easier to install.
