Default subs/amp question

i really dont know too much about subs and amps and watts and all that so i just have a quick question if someone can help me out. anyways i have a 350watt amp but no sub yet. i was just wondering what size sub i should get because i know 350watts isnt that much. im not expecting it be super loud i just want it to sound good. would it be enough for two tens? or even one ten. idk any input would be appreciated. thanks .

Go to a speaker shop and tell them what you want and what you have.

I had 2 12's on a 300 watt amp when i got my first subs. shitty components, but it hit hard. It's kinda a personal thing. Just wire it up and break in your subs, then see what you like. check to see what kinda box you have and make sure you have the best combo on whatever budjet you have. pm me if you want some help

Yup. You also have to take into account what car it's going in, the space available, the RMS watts of the amp, etc.

first you have to find out what the RMS wattage rating is on the amp. then you have to find the RMS wattage of the sub you plan on using. im guessing you have a shitty brand of amp so the rms is about 150 more than likely.so you can push a single 12' or 10, you can push 2 without the amp being bridged but dont expect anything too obnoxious.

CLIFF: try to match the rms of the amp to whatever subs ur gonna use. google the amp

what is the quality of the amp? who makes it? RMS and Peak and all that are great numbers to know, but if its a shit amp it wont matter. you need an amp that puts out good quality sound.

also... the12volt.com is a great site that has simple formulas that will show you the best woofer amp combo (numbers wise). have fun with that
