Default stupid question ...

just want to be 100% before i order ... im planning on either "A" takin out my LS to build it for tubo and putting in a B16 while i build up cause i cant afford downtime ... or "B" buying the b16 longblock from Hmotorsonline.com and building it for turbo ... in either event , im still using my LS tranny , my stupid question is will it drop right in w/o needing mounts ... i do believe i will need a different ECU ( up for suggestions ) and to have it wired for vtec... is that all ? thanks

I don't understand why youd want to put a smaller engine in a car thats heavier and designed for a 1.8....least drop a b20 in it

Don't you mean the b16? not all b18's are vtec yo! Put in the b16, wired for tvec, then if you decide to go turbo/lsvtec that's one less step to go through later....jmo

just drop a turbo kit in there. also I heard through the grape vine, the best b series turbo trannies are GSR...not too short, not to long.

Hey Chad, I would just buy a B20 longblock. they are fairly inexpensive, and are a good match for DC integras. You can also use the LS tranny, and you won't have to change ECU.
i think that would be better for all mototr application. just bore out the 1.8 to 2.0 stronger cylinder walls then the b20. LS turbo gsr tanny...bore out to 2.0 = ass woopin.
