Default Steering Issues

I just got my car aligned with my camber kits, Everything is in perfect spec so my car is tracking good and what not. When I am driving regular this is not so much and issue but is still noticable to me. The problem is lets say I am in 3rd gear at 3,500rpm and I give it gas my steering wheel literaly turn a bit and the car will change direction, if I let off the accelerator than the steering wheel goes back the opposite way. THe guy at the alignment shop told me that my rack and pinion bushing's could be going bad. They even double checked my car and my alignment is still true. Is it possible for your bushings to be so bad that your rack and pinion can move side to side? I think this could be my issue. This issue is definatley not torque steer from a product of power becuase I rock d series lol. Thanks for any input!

It could still be torque steer -
Or, it could be almost any suspension bushing you can imagine, if it's creating a mis-alignment under hard acceleration, including, but not limited to, the steering rack bushings.
Worse yet, it could be related to "bump steer" which is the change in angle as you raise or lower a corner of the car, which seriously affects how it's aligned over "bumps" and hence the name. Factory geometry is thrown off any time you need a camber kit... Sometimes for better, sometimes for worse....

Go find a bunch of circle track racers, and ask them who they carry their stuff to. Carry it to that specialist, and he'll more than likely be able to tell you what's wrong.

My car was doing the same thing, always pulled to the left under acceleration. Ended up being front inner lower control arm bushings, replaced them and its perfect now.

Note they are only 20 bucks a piece(2 per control arm) at advance auto. But be prepared for the labor, took me a while to get the old bushings out.

Put your car on a lift, and shake both front wheels. If you feel play thats why its pulling to one side.

You are correct sir. I put my car on my lift and both lower control arms left and right bushing are shot. I could physically rock my wheel back and forth. That is very bad. I order both bushing today and they will be here tomarrow morning. I also pressed out the old bushings. It sucked...

Who aligned the car? This way I know where NEVER to take anything! If they can't tell you that's wrong, they aren't even trying!

I agree. The first thing you are suppose to do before an allignment is to check all of the bushings, bolts, wheel bearings etc.. and give the wheel a shake down. I am not sure why the shop did not do any of these things but they did not. I called the shop who did the alignment and told them I found all of this bad stuff on my car and they said they will re align it free of charge.
