Default Starting issues

02 toyota camry auto

Check engine light came on code reads fuel is too lean. Car has 60k miles, can anyone help on what this code could mean? Could it be the spark plugs?

Only issue with the car is that in the mornings car has a rough start, takes longer then usual to start it. During the day it starts right up as normal.

"Fuel is too lean" There is your starting point. Maybe check your fuel filter. Have you done any mods to the car or used any additive to the fuel?

Do you think that better starting during the day is because the engine is slightly warm already, or because the fuel system has already been primed from starting before? Do you have any other codes, and does the engine seem to run properly other than the starting problem?

Sry to jump on the thread with a "me-too" but my 02 Acura MDX is doing exactly same thing minus the code. Hard starts in the morning or after it's been sitting for hours. It starts fine after it's been driven a while. I went ahead and replaced the main fuel injection relay thinking that was causing the issue. Any ideas ?

Feels like its a better start because the engine warm already, No other codes except before this the front o2 sensor code was on, i replaced the o2 sensor then a week later check engine light came on for this. Engine runs fine when driving.

potentially a problem right there. the o2 could be faulty and causing the code to come up

Aftermarket O2 sensors are usually garbage.
