I have had this 1993 240sx for about 3 months now and I am preparing to swap out the ka24de for a sr20det. I know some people in this area have done this swap and was curious as to where they bought the engine, had it shipped, what shop did the work or if they did the swap themselves. Also, If anyone had any recommendations as to what I should do before, during or after the swap.

I can name a few shops/suppliers where not to go... ha.

 

do your research on your engine supplier. make sure they are easy to contact and sell quality products. www.usedengine.com has THE best SR's. i have had many and not a one had failed yet.

depending on how much you know about general mechanics...the swap is fairly straight forward. take your time = quality. shoddy splicing and crappy parts = no fun.

I'll give you 30 bucks shipped for your cams when you pull the motor. as long as yuor intake manifold is the one with the butterfly.

noyan usa in mannasas sells the motors. Creative Customs in massaponix does about the best sr20 swaps you'll find
