Speed Sensor and Shift rod pin disconnect help

Default Speed Sensor and Shift rod pin disconnect help

I need some tips getting my shift rod disconnected from my tranny on my 93 gsr. I see the pin but can't get that bastard out.... what do I do!?!?!? Another thing is where is my speed sensor?? Seems to be missing!

I just got it today, everything is unhooked but the speed sensor and those shift rods.

are u hitting the right one? u should have removed a collar from around it. then smack it hard. takes some force but it should come out.

as far as the speed sensor i don't know what u are talking about. i thought they had cables and that just runs from the tranny to the back of your guage cluster.

Hmmm.... thats what I'm using. Maybe somethings wrong... I pulled the boot up and poped that clamp out and then there was a hole through the rod... I hit what looks like a hollow pin or sleeve around it.... does that sound right that I can see through it or should it be filled with a solid pin? I don't seem to be able to pull the rod back from the tranny either so I tihnk that something is holding it in still. Oh yea, do I need to unhook the other end by the shifter as well?

u don't need to but it might make it easier to get it out of the way. and it's been a while since i've looked at one but i thought they were solid.

Is your car older then 92? If so it doesn't have a speed sensor.
