Speaker problem...
I raced a friend today and when i launched, my cd player skipped (normal) but when i caught traction and kept going my music never came back on. I pulled over to check it out and my CD player was working fine, just no sound from the speakers. I don't know if a cable could have come loose or what but i know nothing about wiring or installing and removing sound systems so any suggestions to what it could be would be great. Thanks.

Re: Speaker problem...
my truck does this all the time it sounds like a wire for your speakers is lose so try puling your unit out and just wiggiling the wires gently and try it and if this dosent work then try taping were your speakes are gently and if it comes in and out you have a lose conection on the speaker.

Re: Speaker problem...
I'll pay for a new head unit and speakers before i pay a shop to look at it. It's a dual. But today the music came on, only everytime i hit the tiniest bump in the road it skipped. So the fuse can't be blown, but i guess a wire could be loose. I'll have to find someone i know to take a look at it. Thanks for the input though, i appreciate it.

Re: Speaker problem...
first problem is its a fuckin dual..lol... aka a jensen, but i had somewhat the same problem with a different result, i launched and the cd player cut off then back on but i blew my channels, you have a honda and since its an aftermarket cd player it should be pretty simple to pull out, just take off the piece of plastic that should be around the face and grab a flat head and just pry gently till the deck comes out enough for you to pull it out, check the harness in the back make sure its all the way in, then the harness from the radio to the factory harness(very simple) last but not least if electrical tape was used make sure no wires are exposed or you will be buying another cd player in no time at all...thats just a few things that might help man

haha as Bigd said...if u cant check connections ur a fuckin retard haha...almost like that license plate...hahaha
Steps to checking a wire connection:
1) MAKE SURE THE WIRE IS CONNECTED COMPLETELY
2)IF YOUR WIRE IS TAPED, MAKE SURE THE WHOLE WIRE IS TAPED
...u dont need to know nething about stereos or connections or wiring for that buddy haha
