some more MR2 stuff
locate your stock coil and replace it? should be a simple bolt-up. but i dont know if a coil off a CRX is interchangeable with an MR2. GMs for example (
) use a two-connector harness so you cant just use a blaster SS, you have to use a GM Blaster SS coil. call up MSD and see if theyre interchangeable, find out where your coil is and replace it

lol i hope not the electrical connections. if you jigrigged the mount it shouldnt be a problem as long as there isnt any stress on the wires but you dont want that shit goin bad on you. i had a burnt coil wire leave me in a parking lot for an hour one day.
Was your stock coil bad?
The factory coil on the MR2 has been proven to be more than adequate to light off extremely dense mixtures without any sort of misfire.
I have made 385rwhp on a customer car (MR2) on the FACTORY ignition system.

reuter, it's not really that bad. i just didnt think it was going to work.
noshoes, somehow yes, the stock coil went bad. maybe due to the fact that water somehow fucked it up when a friend washed the car. *shrugs*
