Default SOHC vtec head

I have a single cam vtec head that i plan on putting in my 91 crx si. Does anyone out there know what extra parts that im gonna need to put the head on? All I know is new water pump, ecu, timing belt and head gasket. What ecu do i need and what car can i get it from? If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thx

If you are going to use a z6 vtec head, I would go with the corresponding ecu (p28).

get the obd1 conversion harness an run a p28 or you could get your pm6 chipped and re mapped for vtec

if you decide to go obd1 (the best thing to do) you'll need a obd1 distributor that matches the head.

which head do you have? the d16y8 or the z6?

You will need a y8 head gasket, and it is such a hassle and$$$ to convert to obd1 I would just get your PM6 remapped. PM "Fabrik8" on here does/did that for a great price!!!!!! If you need an extra ecu to send out to get it remapped i have 2 extras for sale.
