SOHC Vtec in a 90 Hatch
A few guys at my work said, switching a 96 SOHC Vtec motor into my 90 DX hatch is pretty hard, being as the hydro tranny and the cable tranny... Now what i need to know is, what do I need to get it to work...thxs

well get a 88-91 si tranny and ecu. to change from dual point to multi point get white plug injectors, wiring harness, resistor pack, and distributor, intake manifold (also from a 88-91 si or hf) and wire vtec to a switch. its pretty simple.

I can convert a PM6 (EF/CRX Si) ECU to vtec for you.
For the tranny, there are conversion linkages to use a hydro tranny in a non-hydro car, I'm not sure if they work for D-series stuff (most are targeted toward B-series swaps), but look around. Hasport and a few other companies make them..

well im getting everything... motor tranny, ecu, yadda yadda, his linkage wont work?

yes his stock linkage will work. id also let him convert the ecu to VTEC

You can use the 96 ECU, yeah..
You'll have to get an OBD0-OBD2 conversion harness, and convert a couple other things over, and add the wiring for the second O2 sensor, and a few others things I'm forgetting about.
