hey i was wondering if anyone had an opinion on the Skunk2 Pro-s coilover, i was considering buying these for my 99 civic si. I plan to use the car at autocross events in the area, and eventually track days. the car is a daily driver also, but an uncomfortable ride dosnt bother me...also dose anyone know what components on my car I will need to change out when i install these?

 

I know a guy who has these, and he claims they are the best he's tried, as far as a full coilover setup. They should be great for track use/autocross, but the ride is supposodly jarringly hard (sacrifice). I've been in his car a couple times, and could swear you could feel anything on the road, but bodyroll was pretty much non-existent (with only a stock front swaybar). I'd say if you are going to keep the heighth low, go for a full alignment kit, other than that...if you buy them post a review on this thread. GL

 

I had them on my old EG four door.

Setup was:
Skunk2 Pro Series Full Coilovers
Skunk2 Front camber kit
Ingalls rear camber kit
Skunk2 LCA's
ASR subframe reinforcement

Car rode EXTREMELY stiff...but personally it didn't bother me, the girlfriend...yes.

But I liked them, the only thing I didn't like was you could not adjust the dampening. If they added that feature, it would be a great idea.

They just came out with the Pro-C's which are adjustable.

I have them in my DA and I love them. Mine aren't super stiff and not bouncy at all.

 

i also had a good experience with a similar setup that lester has. I took your advice by the way lester but sold the car,lol.

not for the moment, i have a kid on the way, and picked up a 4 door eg8, which is coming along VERY fast but i am in the market for another DA,lol. looking for a 4 door this time. I really have my eye on a certain black one

that is, unless my old lady lets me mod the g35,haha.

Yeah, I love that car. Just needs a 92-93 bumper.
