where can i get my piston connecting rods shot-peened (not talking about glass beating) in virginia? how much does this usually cost? my plan is to grind down the casting marks and have them shot peened to increase strength by a lot and get by cheaper than buying some aftermarket rods.

 

you get what you pay for, but im pretty sure keens over here in smithfield will heat treat and shot-peen them. along with smoothing out the castings if you dont want to do it yourself.
