Default shifter rattling

95 Integra w/b20 vtec swap, ls tranny.

I have an annoying rattling coming from my shifter. I have replaced the shift knob hoping it would be an easy fix. still rattling. I plan on takin a look underneath tomorrow. any suggestions as to what it could be or what I should look for would greatly be appreciated....thx

the bottom of the shifter is probably hitting the middle exhaust pipe.

^that or your linkage bushing is going or gone-the bushing at the back of your linkage. I'd get under it and check your entire linkage before copping a thread next time. Jus sayin......

I've been told that you have to drop the exhaust to fix the shifter bushing, is this true?

Not always. I've put on short shifters without dropping exhaust. Jump under there and see if you can drop the linkage down by removing the, two, I think bolts. Bushing is back there where it unbolts.
