It's reliable now, running fine with high mileage. If you don't have the money to build it now, don't boost.

If you absolutely have to have boost, trade in the car or sell it and get yourself a SRT or any other stock boosted vehicle that will be covered by a warranty.

Harsh sounding I know, but truth..

just take steps to make sure you do it right.

possible steps -
a) compression check
b) new head gasket
c) proper tune

i could keep a list going, but if you take the correct steps and everything checks out, it should be fine.

On hondas, you don't need a headgasket. But good advice otherwise

Then what was the compression? Was a leakdown test performed?

Only thing headwise I would do is new seals and maybe some valve springs and retainers. Maybe a Mill.

Bottom end. Have fun

Turbo kit. Don't be ghetto. My old kit had roughly 900 bucks into it and I had alot of quality parts.

Get a good tuner. I can name off 3. Shad. Patrick at MRD. Matt Shue.
