Hey whats up I got a question about putting a Type R p73 Ecu in my GSR.
Is it safe to red line on the Type R ecu in my GSR ?
GSR red line - @ 8,200 rpm

sooner or later it will fuck something up.. you probably wont make power past the stock gsr rev if your on stock internlas.. so your probably wasting time and a motor

plus, the r ecu won't know what to do with your dual-runner intake manifold.

yeah, what intake manifold do you have. if you have the stock gsr manifold, your gonna lose a lot of power. i'm running the p73 on my gsr, but i have a skunk IM, and about the rev limiter, i wouldnt do that unless you replace the stock valve springs. i've done it a couple times, but its not a good feeling.

jdm ef8 ran an R ecu in his basically stock gsr...lost a ton of midrange power when the throttle butterflys usually switch over if i remember correctly and overall the car just didn't run as good. it is a waste of money unless you go skunk2/blox/whatever IM and get a set of cams at least slightly more aggressive then the stock gsr cams...
