If you're going to mostly drift it, there's no point in building it outside of making it able to sustain high revs. You don't need much more power over stock for drifting.

You're not going to do well with a drift setup trying to race on the street or on the track, though. Suspension setups are night and day different from each other.

I say pick one and stick to it. A drift setup will probably be cheaper because you don't need high numbers.

A little bit more HP the stock is always nice... especially for like a long sweeping drift where it comes in handy..

exactly, well moreso i think 350hp is too much for a beginner period.

Honestly, I would keep the stock KA in there if you want to drift it until you get the hang of it. With some more experience, then you can plan out your setup how you like it to be. That much power is a recipe for disaster just starting out and without significant suspension mods.

Exactly, honestly a KA has more then enough power for any beginner... 240 in my sig only has 160 whp and it does the job.. i cant wait till next september tho.. itll be in the 350 range

well actually I know 240sx are the kings of drift. I am actually more into street than drift. but not all drift. I was thinking about the tein drift coils. but more into street than drift.

When i get a S14, It not going to be a exspensive one. I might get a shell. It all depends on what pops up when im ready to get one. I would like to build it (everything, not just motor) that way I can learn and do hands on instead of internet learning. lol
