if I purchased a JDM gauge cluster could I roll back the miles to match actual miles on the car? will it still function?

Yes it will function fine. I did the same thing.....jus use like a nail or like an ice pick.....(something metal with a small pointed tip)....stick it in the grooves and rotate the number.

If it's not the stock guages, you COULD be in trouble when you decide to sell the car if you don't tell or forget to tell the purchaser that it's not the stock gauges. You could have the new odometer certified by the DMV I believe to keep you out of any potential trouble.

wouldn't the JDM odometer read in KM? instead of miles? so I would calculate your miles and convert to KM before you start rolling it back...
