Default Rev Problems

Just to start this off, I know that this problem is caused by my bad shifting and driving but..... i raced a couple times tonight, and i missed third in three races, i redline at 6.5 and would hit 8+. i have a crx dx, im guessin there is no rev limiter, does anybody know if there is a way to put a limiter onit. i know that i suck at drving, but im not tryin to blow up on the way to becoming a good racer. thanks.

yes there is a way to put a max rev limiter on it, aftermarket wise, msd makes plenty of ignition systems that you can control revlimiting, hondata is always an option, and maybe your computer is fucked because you should have a limiter.....

What ECU do you have? I can add a rev limiter to your ECU if it's able to be chipped or already chipped. I'm assuming it's already chipped if you're going to 8k?? A stock ECU shouldn't allow you to go that high unless it's a B16 ECU, like a PR3 or PW0, etc.. Give more info, I can prob help you out.

The one guy that was asking for the ECU that i have, its the stock DX one, i have no idea about any of that stuff. The only reason i was hittin 8grand was because i missed shifted, i would never do that on purpose, i was waiting for the motor to blow right there,. but yeah, ia m saving up for a b126a1

Lol....J/K with ya....Even though its a bit pricey Check this out! This is actually a pretty good unit if you think about it.....You can adjust REV LIMITER, Air/Fuel Ratio, Timing, etc.... Buying a new ignition is also another option (i.e. MSD) This is all I can think of off the top of my head this second so Im sure there are some other options... Or you can do like the guy up top said and somehow chip it...

Good Luck...

Also, Check out JET Performance Products, you should be able to send your ECU to them and have it programmed...
