remote start not starting

remote start not starting
I just got a new car that has aftermarket remote start. The unlock and lock function works. when i press the button to start my car, it cranks but shuts off before the car has a chance to start.I feel like if it cranked for a second longer it would work. Any advise would be greatly appriciated

Start with finding the brand and model of the unit. Some use a tach sense and other a direct tach wired input. others have a smart tach function. The unit may need just programmed again or perhaps one of these types switched to the other. Other causes could include a hood pin malfunction (Car wont start with an open hood/door/trunk usually) brake switch wire, Transponder bypass (chip in the key) and many other things.
Start with the units model and brand and go with the programming option first as its the easiest
Also posting the vehicle y/m/m would help others narrow down problems.

They may have not fully wired it. I don't think the integra had a transponder until 2000-2001. They may have not used the ignition wire that operates the fuel pump and this would need to be connected.
just a possibility without looking at it ...
Try auto-starting it again and listen for the pump. also check that the heater/ac blows when the ignition kicks on and all the gauges operate as if it were the key starting it

^ good explination.. sounds like no ignition.. there is no transponder in this car.. look under the dash there will be the brain then there will be a ribbon harness plugged into it, follow the ribbon harness and it will bring you to a relay pack. make sure the ribbon harness is plugged into the brain and relay pack securley, I have seen this problem before
