so im rebuilding a d16z6 and ive never really done it anybody in the va beach area tryin to help me out??oh yea and im rebuilding it for boost so i have eagle h beam rods and low compression pistons to put in it and i heard you have to do some things so the rods will fit? really need to get this done soon and i dont wanna mess it up tryin it myself

down load the manual from hondahookups and you can do it all your self. stay way from the haynes manual. if you buy a manual, buy the helms. lot better info.

your best bet is purchasing a factory honda manuel. haynes and helms are crap.

You have to "notch" the bottom of the cylinder wall/sleeves. Use a die grinder and do NOT use something that would cut (ie. cutting wheel, hax saw - personally never heard of someone using even a hack saw but who knows, etc.) to "notch" it.

To do it "right" you're going to have to put together the rotating assembly, so it will take time. It's good to save money, though, sometimes something needs to give for a time consuming project such as this.

I'm saying its doubtful you'll find someone who has done it and will do it for free, so I suppose, yes is the answer. <grin>
