something is wrong with my car. The rear tires wear until they are bald within 3 to 4 months. I don't have a clue what's going on. The front are fine and last as they should. What do I need to do? Tires are costing me a fortune.

Is you suspension mod'ed? If so, with what?

$64.99 to aline at sears, it comes with a 6months warranty. If you have a modded suspension that is what it probably is, its best always to get your car re-alinged after a suspension adjustment.

If not then I would let some one take a look at it, could be a number of things.

 

Has the car ever been in a wreck? If so, the rear crossmember could be bent. I bought a car one time that I thought just needed an alignment... 4 alignments and probably $1,000 worth of tires later I figured out what it was.

 

It's dropped low but it's was like that when I purchased it and it didn't start to wear out the tires real bad until about 6 months ago. I haven't been in any accidents so I'll get it aligned and see what happens from there.

Do the rear tires kinda slant in? I'd check into a camber kit if they do.

 

Are you getting cheap tires? Taking lots of trips down rough roads?

 

Tire pressure?
