Default rear lower control arm install

Hey, I bought 2 rear lower control arms for my 95 civic lx, and when I matched up the old and new the new ones were a bit longer. Any of you know if this is how upgraded control arms are suppose to be? I want to know all this before I go and start taking it apart. Let me know guys, thanks.

you've just bought the wrong control arms.
the distance, center to center of pivot points/strut mount should be identical.
if the distance is longer than your original lcas, you'll have way too much negative camber.

that's assuming you can get them to fit.
