Default random white smoke

The motor is a d16z6 turboed. It will blow a puff of smoke or smoke for about two mins.... randomly. It wil not smoke at all one day but the next day it will be. I looked around some people say head gasket and some say I need a catch can. If it was a head gasket wouldn't it be smoking all the time?

Only if the head gasket leaked all the time. What does the smoke smell like? Oil? Fuel? Coolant?

It only happens when I'm at a light or something where I can't really get out and smell it I'm breaking in a new clutch so im not even getting into boost. The motor has great compression also checked that yesterday and I have different people tell me a bunch of different things.

i had the same thing in my sohc turbo, it was my fuel. i was running dsm injectors without a resistor box, you might just be running rich, and most of the time when its a head gasket your car would over heat and lose power.

too many variables but given you have a good tune and healthy motor, the most common with turbo hondas is poor oil drain back and insufficient crank case ventilation..

It's not tuned, it's running with a base map.
