Default quick question about mccolloch hid.

is it kosher to mount the ballast to the chassis? the manual is not clear on this, but something tells me that this isn't a good idea.

can someone confirm this? or am I way off?

I remember reading that its ok aslong as there isn't any direct contact between the ballast and the chassis. But that was awhile back i may be wrong
