Default question....

Example: The motor is running...When I take out each spark plug wire the car is supposed to act as if its gonna shut off. What exactly does it mean when nothing happens? It seems to be getting spark. The plugs are a light sand color. Any ideas?? While at a red light or stop sign the car shakes real bad.

Are you saying your engine is running fine with your spark plug wires taken off? Then you say at stops, your car shakes real bad. So does that mean your car runs better without your spark plug wires? I'm just trying to understand your question. What kind of car is it? Maybe you have a diesel engine? Just kidding... maybe.

What ever cylinder you pull a plug wire off while running that doesnt change the way the motor is running as in it doesnt start missing worse or in ur case shaking worse pretty much means its a dead cylinder. Now does it run fine while driving and just misses (shakes) at a idle? What car and motor also?

lol sorry...here it is...
the car started running real shitty the other day. Say if i come to a red light or a stop sign, it shakes realllllly bad. Shakes like it wants to shut off. So while the car was running, i pulled out the plug wire for cylinder 1 (it stuttered like it was gonna shut off). Put that one back and pulled out #2...stuttered like its supposed to...then i put that one back and pulled out #3...NO RESPONSE!! Then i put that one back and pulled out #4...That one stuttered too....now do you get it?

seems to me num 3 cylinder is dead. Check spark, make sure injector is firing, and then check compression on the cylinder. That should lead you to the source of your problem

Check first for a bad plug wire or bad plug. Sometimes this stuff is really simple. Check the easy stuff first.
