superchargers don't *cut off*......unless you are talking about the belt driven type , and unless you add some sort of electric clutch unit to it...it's runs as long as the belt/pulley is turning. As far as a waste of money, if it's done properly, you can run a huge turbo (ie: massive boost/hp) w/o the lag time. Let me see if i can find anything to post on the older rally cars that played w/ this setup. While *i* don't need it, some applications would warrant such a setup.....

This is just one of the set-ups that they used to play w/.....it's a much better setup on the street than on a rally car in my opinion as well.......

Default WTF?...

this is how the KKK ORGANIZATION got money support eh?:

KKK turbocharger and Abarth Volumex supercharger boost output to a maximum of 250 bhp at 6750rpm and 2141bft of torque. That sounds a lot from less than 1.8 litres, but the similar-sized motor of the Lancia-Martini rally cars was persuaded to yield a reliable 470 bhp at 8000 revs, plus more than 333 Ib ft of torque.

hahaha.......yeah, from boosting. I don't remember what the KKK series equals out to as far as sizing off the top of my head.. but for the RX7's ....it's a drag car only turbo. starts making boost around 5,000 rpm or so

yeah there is a twin charger kit that was on a teg im not sure which motor but it was featured in a mag.

now on topic
have you even drag raced before or raced a car at the track. im assuming that you want to drag this car. You should probable get better at driving before you jump into this.
Did you copy off of a list in a mag cause you should prioritize your money and mods about which come first. You are probably going to want to beaf up the suspension because the h22 is going to make the car crazy front (nose) heavy and suspenion would have to support it. Do a lot more research before you just jump into this. This is only one example among a few that could have been brought up.

also just to be a dick, how many headers does the h22 have
