Prelude Sub-Install
I'm installing a sub in my 96 prelude, and i ran into a problem with running the power chord to the battery. Do i need to drill any holes into the firewall? or are there any pre existing holes i can use?

Re: Prelude Sub-Install
Provided your power wire isn't above 4 gauge, you should be able to cut a small hole in one of the rubber boots or grommets in your firewall and push or pull the power wire through. Drilling the firewall for a power wire is a bad idea.

theres should already be a nice size whole on the passenger side

why do u say this? it is a very common practice among everybody as long as u throw a grommet in the hole i see no danger |

Re: Prelude Sub-Install
look behind your fuse box on the passenger side under the hood, there should be a pretty good hole there, if not then I geuss and previous owner cut a hole there on mine

Re: Prelude Sub-Install
As has already been mentioned, unbolt your fuse box on the passenger side, pull it up a bit, and the rubber grommet is right there.. its plenty large.

Re: Prelude Sub-Install
not to mention its on the same side as the battery so you dont have to worry about crossing the engine bay and wasting good wire
