Default Prelude Sub-Install

I'm installing a sub in my 96 prelude, and i ran into a problem with running the power chord to the battery. Do i need to drill any holes into the firewall? or are there any pre existing holes i can use?

Provided your power wire isn't above 4 gauge, you should be able to cut a small hole in one of the rubber boots or grommets in your firewall and push or pull the power wire through. Drilling the firewall for a power wire is a bad idea.

why do u say this? it is a very common practice among everybody as long as u throw a grommet in the hole i see no danger

Why make new holes when a preexisting one with an OEM grommet works just as well?

As has already been mentioned, unbolt your fuse box on the passenger side, pull it up a bit, and the rubber grommet is right there.. its plenty large.

not to mention its on the same side as the battery so you dont have to worry about crossing the engine bay and wasting good wire
