Default Phantom Grip LSD

https://www.websitecreations.net/~phantomg/whatis.html

Has anyone heard of this product? It's an LSD conversion kit for only $299. I wanted to know if anyone has used it or knows someone that has.

It's $1000 cheaper than the one I'm looking to buy.

like everything else, you get what you pay for. there seem to be a lot of people using phantom grip lsd's these days though. ive heard nothing but good reports about quaiffe differentials on front wheel drive cars. if you get a cheap one it might be kinda noisy too. but then again, $1,000 is a lot to save i guess....

If you don't plan on having much HP a Phantom Grip is perfect They cause undue wear on the diffs spider gears. The more power you have = the faster you'll wear them out. Not to mention if your car has weak spider gears to begin with.

great product for the price, but like they say, for higher hp ie more than 250 at the wheels look for kaaz or quaife

http://www.nissanperformancemag.com did a test on it and recorded actual data about it. They seemed to like it.

This is what I found from that site: http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/...ntomgrip.shtml

Sounds like an ad to me ... notice the wording on some of it "clutch type action" Gotta love the marketing speak.

Just found the article you probably were referring to: http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/...2/phantomgrip/

It's no secret that the Phantom Grip works. What's in question is how reliable it is under hard use.

I just found the Phantom Grip for sale on the www.extrememotorsports.com website. They have a great reputation among DSM owners, I'm going to see if I can get some info from them about the Phantom. They claim not to sell a product unless it meets their standards...I would think their standards are pretty high, after all they do have an 8 second Talon.
