Painting

Can anyone tell me if there is a guideline to use when painting a car as far as how much paint and how many parts of thinner and hardener to use while painting ?

on the back of the can of basecoat, there should be a scale, it will tell you what parts of hardener/reducer/activator to use for each part of paint. its usually 1:1. but some people like the paint thinner and change it up, but for base its usually 1:1, and clear 3:1 or 4:1 depending on what kind clear and activator, and temperature range. midcoats very as well.

I bought the reducer and mixed it and sprayed it... looks pretty good... Do I need to have stuck hardener in it ? or will it dry on its own pretty well because of the heat?
