1. vtech is spelled vtec
2.if you have a dx motor, you dont have vtec
3.the wire comming out of the solenoid is green/yellow
4.if you have a adapter harness, i believe its purple?? i think

yeah i missed spelled and i jus wanted to know because if the vtec isn't hooked up then basicly a dx motor, i looked at it and it looked kinda weird.

What's the engine code on the block say? That'll help us determine if you have a problem with your wiring, or if your motor doesn't have VTEC in which case you'd have no worries.

OR MAYBE IF THERE'S A HUGE STICKER ON THE WINDSHIELD THEN IT HAS VTECHK. the guy's trying to ask a simple question (a dumb one, but still...) quit being assholes.

my 97 ex (d16y8) dosent say vtec on the valve cover...
